How do I join OurDot?
OurDot is invite-only. A guardian in your family sends you an invite link or code. Open the link, sign in with the code we email you, and you're in.
I didn't get my sign-in code.
The 6-digit code is in the email's subject line, from OurDot. Check spam or promotions and wait a minute. Still nothing? Go back and tap "Email me a sign-in code" again. Kids' codes go to their guardian's inbox.
How do I set up my child?
In the Family tab, create a kid invite. Use your own email with a + and their name, like you+leo@gmail.com. It lands in your inbox, but OurDot treats it as your child's account. This works with Gmail, Yahoo, Proton and Fastmail; iCloud doesn't support it, so use a Gmail address you check.
Something isn't working, or I have an idea.
Tap the 💬 tab on the right edge of any screen. Pick "I love this," "I don't like this," "Something's broken" or "I have an idea," and add words or a voice note if you like. You'll see what we decide in "My feedback."
How do I report a post or block someone?
On a post, tap the ••• button. On a message, press and hold it. Then choose Report or Block. Urgent reports are hidden right away while we review them.
Why can't my child use the app right now?
Their guardian may have school mode, sleep mode or a daily game limit on. Messages to and from guardians always work, even then.
How do I delete my account?
Go to the Family tab and tap "Delete my account." Your posts, photos, voice messages, messages and journal are deleted. Guardians can delete a child's account from the same tab.
Is my information private?
Yes. Only your invited family sees what you share. No ads, no selling data, no outside tracking. Read the full privacy policy.
