Cook together, as a family.

Pick the week's dinners, let kids choose the nights they help, give every helper a real job for their age, and keep one shared shopping list.

In short

Family Kitchen is a meal planner built for cooking with kids. Grown-ups pick what's cooking; kids pick when they help. Every recipe has jobs for ages 3–5, 6–8, 9–12 and 13+.

  • A week planGrown-ups set the week. Kids sign up for the nights they want to help.
  • Jobs by ageWashing and stirring for little ones, measuring and chopping as kids grow.
  • Made-without filtersFilter by the FDA's 9 major food allergens, with swaps in each recipe.
  • One shared listGrouped by aisle and updated live. Kids "ask to add" and a guardian approves.
  • Read-aloud stepsSteps read out loud, with safety notes like cooking temperatures.
  • Share or printSend a recipe or the list by text, or print it.

What Family Kitchen never does

It never tracks what anyone eats, how much, or anything about their body. No calories, no streaks, no "missed dinner." A breakfast together counts, and so does a video-call dinner with Grandpa.

Why cook together

Studies link regular family meals with healthier eating in kids, but other research finds family relationships explain much of that link. So Family Kitchen focuses on time together, not counting. Read the research on family meals.

Common questions

Does Family Kitchen track calories or weight?

No. It never stores what anyone eats, how much, or anything about their body.

Can kids add things to the shopping list?

Kids can ask to add an item, and a guardian approves it. Anyone can check items off.

Bring your family together, the safe way.

Free for every family. A guardian starts the family and invites everyone else.
