For kids with two homes and a big family.
Co-guardians share the same controls, each side of the family can have its own group, and the guardian line reaches every guardian.
How it works for co-parents
- Equal co-guardians. Invite a co-guardian and they get the same controls you have: invites, age ranges, school and sleep times and game time.
- Groups for each side. Guardians can create group chats like "Mom's side" and "Dad's side," and choose who's in each. A group that includes a kid always includes a guardian.
- One guardian line. A child's guardian line includes their guardians, so everyone stays in the loop.
- The same rules in both homes. School and sleep mode follow the child, not the house.
Names that fit everyone
Gramma is "Mom" to her daughter and "Gramma" to the kids. OurDot shows each person the name that fits: kids see what they call someone, adults see real names, and anyone can set a private nickname only they see.
A note on hard situations
OurDot works best when guardians can share a family space. If there's a custody order or safety concern, follow that order and your attorney's advice, and contact help@ourdot.app if you need to change who's in a family.
